  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 12 chicken tenders – about 1.5 lbs
  • Olive oil cooking spray
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the egg mixture by whisking together eggs, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
  2. In another bowl, combine almond flour, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper for the coating.
  3. Dip each chicken tender into the egg mixture followed by the almond flour mixture; set aside on a plate.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (199°C) and lightly spray the basket with olive oil.
  5. Cook the chicken tenders in a single layer for 7 minutes, flip, spray with olive oil again, and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For the sauce, melt butter in a pot and mix in hot sauce, honey, tomato paste, salt, and pepper; let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
