  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp chicken bouillon
  • 1/8 cup olive oil
  • 2 cups long grain white rice
  • 1/4 onion (finely diced)
  • 1 garlic clove (finely minced)
  • 1 tbsp chicken bouillon
  • pinch whole cumin
  • 1 1/2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Make the Tomato Sauce: Cook tomatoes, onion, and garlic in water until soft (about 4–5 minutes). Cool and blend with chicken bouillon until smooth.
  2. Prepare the Rice: Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add long grain rice and toast for about 5 minutes. Stir in finely diced onion during the last minute.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Add minced garlic, chicken bouillon, whole cumin, prepared tomato sauce, and water to the pot. Stir well.
  4. Cook the Rice: Cover and cook on medium heat for 12 minutes. Turn off heat and let it rest covered for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Final Touches: Fluff the rice gently before serving.
