  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (for streusel topping)
  • ¼ cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes (for streusel topping)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tablespoons milk or cream (for glaze)
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a small bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the streusel topping; add cold butter cubes until crumbly.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  4. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until fluffy.
