  • 1 medium Cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1/3 cup Rice flour
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder, optional
  • 1/31/4 cup Water
  • 1.5 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup Light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Rice apple vinegar
  • 12 tbsp Sriracha Sauce, adjust to taste
  • 1 inch Fresh ginger, finely minced
  • 45 cloves Fresh garlic, finely minced
  • 23 tbsp Honey or maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup Water for thickening
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Spring onions, sliced for garnish
  • Sliced Chilis for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine rice flour, cornstarch, garlic powder (if using), and water to form a batter. Coat cauliflower florets evenly and place them on the baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle with oil and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  4. While baking, whisk together the sauce ingredients: sesame oil, soy sauce, vinegar, Sriracha, ginger, and garlic.
  5. In a saucepan over low heat, mix honey (or maple syrup) with cornstarch and water until thickened; add to sauce mixture.
  6. Once baked, toss cauliflower in the sauce until well coated and serve garnished with sesame seeds and spring onions.
